Mr. Edme is a young artist who presently works
at the Centre'd'Art. He was born on February 12, 1966 in Port-au-Prince.He
attended primary school at the National School of Thor in
Carrefour, a suburb of Port-au-Prince. He then studied for
one year at Lycee Firmin and two years at Charlemagne Peralte.
His career began in 1982 when he began painting
with Jean Pierre Vilme. In 1985 he began painting at the Centre'd'Art
and today is an employee there. He continues his studies while
he works and is presently concentrating on his proficiency
in English.
The handsome young Edme paints jungle scenes
and landscapes. His jungle scenes are different from most
others with which we are familiar in that they contain monkeys,
apes and even chickens! His bright colors and attention to
detail result in works that are pleasing to the eye.
